Palestrina and His Time – Traditional and Digital Research Perspectives. International Symposium on the Farewell of Prof. Dr. Peter Ackermann

Peter Ackermann was Professor of Musicology at the HfMDK for 25 years. Under his direction, an online database of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina's works and sources is currently being compiled, funded by the DFG. To mark Peter Ackermann's farewell from active university service, a two-day online symposium is being held that will build a bridge between the music of Palestrina and his time and digital research methods.
